Guo Laoshi, our teaching fellow at Chia Chinese Learning, is also an educator at Washington Yu Ying Public Charter School. Hailing from China, she brings four years of experience working with the little ones. She proudly holds Bachelor’s Degrees in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. Her passion for helping our young learners acquire new language skills through a positive and inclusive approach is truly inspiring. Guo Laoshi is also known for her fun, caring, and patient personality. When she's not in the classroom, she's out exploring new cuisines, watching documentaries, and enjoying quality time with friends and family.

Mintong Laoshi, an experienced educator, began teaching in 2014 and excelled as a lead Chinese teacher and PreK leader for the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Program. Her background includes workshop leadership, conference presentations, and designing curricula for Chinese summer camps. She mentors new educators and prioritizes student-centered teaching for engaging learning experiences across all age groups. Mintong Laoshi earned a Master's Degree in Foreign Language Education and a Prek-12 teaching certificate from the University of Maryland, College Park. Beyond teaching, she enjoys playing the piano, practicing traditional Chinese calligraphy, and indoor rock climbing.

Zixin is a dedicated graduate student at the University of Maryland, pursuing the World Language Program with a Prek-12 teaching certificate. She holds dual degrees in English Education and Interdisciplinary Studies, forming a strong academic foundation. Zixin has experience teaching Chinese to young learners aged 3-12 at StarTalk and instilling foundational math concepts in children aged 3-4 at Think Academy, reflecting her commitment to holistic learning. Beyond her academic pursuits, Zixin is an enthusiastic traveler, capturing moments through photography and recently embracing crocheting as a relaxing hobby. She is not just an educator; she's a versatile explorer with a passion for adventure.
