2023 Summer camp registration open now!
The year 2023 Summer Camp will continue to strive for Chinese Immersion and include classes from many expert teachers such as science, math, dance, kung fu, performing arts, visual art., etc.
Overall Learning Plan:
Our camp is designed to provide a fun and interactive full immersive learning experience for children. Each day, we will start with Chinese songs, movements, and meditation to get us in the right mindset for learning. We will then have a 30-45 minute Chinese morning meeting where we will practice Chinese greetings, discuss the weather and calendar, and learn about different Chinese cities and cultures. Throughout the day, we will have our core learning including reading, writing, STEAM, and Math thinking through various themed base projects, fun games, role-playing, etc. We will also have experiential learning such as science experiments, cooking Chinese food, exploring in the woods, Kung Fu, Traditional Chinese Dance, water play, and mini field trips. Our week will wrap up with a Friday afternoon learning evidence presentation (project presentation or performance), as our tradition.
We value intimate and strong learning groups where we truly get to practice Chinese comfortably with each other. Each group has no more than 5 or 6 learners. Camp is designed for children ages 3-12. We will carefully split the group based on developmental ages, Chinese levels, learning styles, and group dynamics.
Camp meets from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
The cost for the week is $500.
